If you're trying to make a reservation but can't see or select any rooms, follow this simple checklist. The issue is usually missing setup steps.
How Room Selection Works
For a room to appear when booking, four things must be set up:
- A Room Type must exist (like "Standard Double")
- Actual Rooms must be created for that type (like "Room 101")
- A Room Rate must be set for your dates
- The room must be available on your dates
Checklist: What to Verify
Step 1: Check Room Types
Where to check: Go to the Room Types section.
What to look for: Do you see room types like "Standard", "Deluxe", "Suite"?
If missing: You need to create at least one room type before making reservations.
Tip: Room types define categories, not actual rooms. Examples: "Double Room", "Family Suite", "Ocean View".
Step 2: Check Actual Rooms
Where to check: Go to the Rooms section.
What to look for: Do you see actual room numbers like "101", "102", "201"?
If missing: You need to create rooms and assign them to room types.
Tip: Rooms are the actual physical rooms you rent out. Each room belongs to a room type.
Step 3: Check Room Rates
Where to check: Go to the Room Rates section.
What to look for: Do you have rates set for the dates you want to book?
If missing: This is the most common reason! You must set up rates before booking.
Example rates needed:
- Standard Room: $80/night
- Deluxe Room: $120/night
- Package rates if using Full Board
Quick fix:
Set up at least one rate for your room type and dates.
Step 4: Check Room Availability
Where to check: Go to the Room Search Center.
What to look for: Search for your dates. Are rooms showing as available?
If all rooms are booked: No rooms will appear for those dates.
Tip: The Room Search Center shows real-time availability. If rooms are already booked, they won't appear.
