Bistone HMS Cloud Version introduces a powerful QR code room service feature. It allows hotels to assign a unique QR code to each room. After guests check in, they can scan the QR code in their room using a smartphone to order housekeeping services, extra bottled water, amenities, or any other service item defined in your POS. Staff can then process these requests through the dedicated QR Code Orders Section and instantly transfer the ordered items to the guest's reservation for billing.
How It Works (4 Simple Steps)
- Step 1: Enable QR Code Feature – In your Cloud Version subscription, go to Bistone Room Service and activate QR code room service. The system will automatically generate unique QR codes for each active room.
- Step 2: Print & Place QR Codes – Download or print the QR codes for every room. Place them on bedside tables, door cards, or any visible spot inside the room.
- Step 3: Guest Scanning & Ordering – After check-in, guests scan the QR code with any smartphone camera. A mobile-friendly order page opens where they can select services (e.g., cleaning, extra towels, mineral water, snack baskets). The order is instantly sent to the hotel's HMS Cloud backend.
- Step 4: Staff Processing via QR Code Orders Section – Hotel staff access the QR Code Orders Section. Each request shows the room number, guest name, and selected items. With one click, staff can convert the order into billable items and attach them directly to the guest's active reservation. No manual posting needed.

Important Notes for Trial vs. Active Subscription
Trial Cloud Version: QR code room service is fully functional during the trial period. However, after the trial ends, the feature will be paused. Upgrade to an active subscription to keep using QR code orders and retain all historical service records.
Active Subscription: The QR code feature remains active and fully supported. You can generate, print, and manage QR codes for unlimited rooms as part of your Cloud Version plan.
