How to Set Up Our Tax-Inclusive Rates?

Understanding Tax-Inclusive and Tax-Exclusive Pricing

A single setting in Bistone HMS controls how tax is calculated on all room rates and services. Configuring it correctly is essential for accurate billing.

Tax-Inclusive Rates

The entered price already includes the tax.

Example: You enter a room rate of 1,050,000 and have a tax rate of 18%.

The system interprets this as: Base Price + 18% Tax = 1,050,000.
Therefore, the calculated tax amount is 160,169.49, and the base price is 889,830.51.

Use this setting if your published rates (for example, on your website) are the final price the guest pays.

Tax-Exclusive Rates

The entered price is the base price before tax.

Example: You enter a room rate of 1,050,000 and have a tax rate of 18%.

The system calculates: 1,050,000 + 18% = 1,239,000.
The tax added is 189,000.

Use this setting if your published rates are the base price and tax is added at checkout.

How to Check and Change This Setting

  1. Go to Settings → Tax Ratio.
  2. Find the checkbox labeled "All Rates are Tax Inclusive Rates".
