How to Get the Latest Updates & New Features For Bistone HMS?

At Bistone, we are committed to continuously improving your hotel management system. Our primary method of delivering enhancements is through scheduled Monthly Updates, typically released on the first Tuesday of each month.

These updates include:

How to Apply Updates to Your System

The update process differs slightly depending on your version:

For Standalone Version (Perpetual License – Access Database)

  1. Download: Use the original full version download link provided in your license purchase email. This link always points to the latest official release.
  2. Install: Run the installer on your computer.
  3. Database Upgrade (If Prompted): After launching the updated software, it may prompt you to upgrade the database.
    • You can choose "Try to Upgrade" for an automated online attempt.
    • If the automated upgrade fails, please follow our guide: How to Upgrade Our Database?
    • Alternatively, you can send your database backup file to us, and we will upgrade it for you free of charge.

For Network Version (Perpetual License – MySQL Database)

  1. Download: Use the original full version download link from your license purchase email to get the latest server installer.
  2. Install: Run the installer on your server machine to update the application.
  3. Database Upgrade: Due to the professional setup and stability requirements of server environments (which often suppress detailed error messages for security and robustness)
    • We strongly recommend sending your database backup file to support@bistonesoft.com, and our technical team will perform the upgrade for you promptly and free of charge.
    • This ensures a smooth, error-free transition and minimizes any risk of data disruption in multi-user environments.

For Cloud Version Users

  • Desktop Client: Simply download and install the latest client from the original link. Your data is already on the latest version in the cloud.
  • Web Version: No action required. Just refresh your browser or log out and log back in to access the updated features.

Why Does the Network Version Require Manual Upgrade Assistance?

Network environments are typically configured for high stability and security. Automatic upgrade routines may not display detailed errors, making troubleshooting difficult for users. By handling the upgrade centrally, we ensure data integrity and system reliability for all connected clients.
