Bistone HMS includes a dedicated Table POS module designed
specifically for restaurants, bars, and food and beverage outlets. With Table POS,
you can perform the complete workflow - table management, order taking, adding items, splitting
bills, merging tables, and payment settlement - all from a clean, unified interface.
Note: Table POS is designed for post-payment (pay after dining) scenarios. If your restaurant operates on a pre-payment model (pay before dining), please use Normal POS or Touch POS instead.
Enabling Table POS Mode
To switch to Table POS mode:
- Go to Settings in the main menu.
- Locate the POS Type option.
- Select Table POS from the dropdown list.
- Click OK to save. The system will restart the POS interface in Table POS mode.
Creating Tables
By default, there are no tables in the system. You must first add tables
before you can start ordering. Use the table management feature to create tables (by number,
name, or section). Once created, they will appear on the floor plan.
Taking Orders at a Table
After tables are created, you can click on a table to start a new order. If
the table is already occupied, you can add more items to the existing order.
Print Settings for Table POS
Table POS supports two types of printing:
- Print For Kitchen: Configured in Settings -> Table Management -> Kitchen Printing. This option is only compatible with thermal printers (80mm or 58mm).
- Print For Customer: Uses the same printer type as the POS printer. Set this in Settings -> POS -> Printer.
Table Status Color Codes
Table POS uses color-coded statuses for quick visual identification:
- Green (Available): Table is empty and ready for new guests.
- Red (Occupied / Ordering): Table has an active, unsettled order.
- Yellow (Reserved): Table has been reserved for a future booking.
- Gray (Closed / Unavailable): Table is temporarily out of service.
Tip: For walk-in guests, simply select an available table and start ordering. For guests with reservations, you can pre-assign tables before arrival.
